Who We Are
Coach Dave O'Leary
Born in England, Dave rose to number 1 nationally for his age as a junior and represented Great Britain on the international stage. Dave accepted a full division 1 scholarship to The University of Memphis, a top-20 NCAA program. During his college career he picked up an ATP professional ranking and graduated with the best winning record in the program's history. He also played doubles alongside former teammate Joe Salisbury, who later became the world number 1 and a six time grand slam champion.

After competing, Dave served as the director of Tennis at a premier New York club, where he developed juniors who went on to compete at national events and earn college scholarships. Throughout Dave's coaching career, his passion has remained the same: helping players grow, improve, and truly love the game. At Cali Tennis Academy, that's the foundation of everything we do.
Coach Dean Stavri
Southern California native, Dean, began playing tennis at 11 and spent his junior years training and competing in Las Vegas, where he reached the #1 ranking in the 14s, 16s, and 18s divisions. After standout high-school results—including 2nd at Counties and 3rd at State—he competed at the collegiate level for UNLV before earning a full athletic scholarship to NJIT, where he studied Business Management.

Dean went on to build a thriving tennis academy with over 100 weekly students and has helped numerous juniors earn spots on varsity teams, win state championships, and play college tennis. Now with more than 20 years of coaching experience, his coaching focuses on creating a fun, motivating environment where young athletes can grow, compete, and pursue tennis as far as their ambition takes them.
